What to expect from The Mandalorian's 3rd season?
Reunited once again, Grogu and Din Djarin embark on a new journey at the end of The Book of Boba Fett. The destination is uncertain, and the future lies only in the minds of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. However, a specific scene in Boba's series indicates what the next steps for the Mandalorian will be.
In the fifth episode of the show, the character goes in search of the remaining Mandalorians. When he finds them, he is questioned by Ferreira if he has ever taken off his helmet, Din Djarin confirms the hypothesis and is expelled from the clan. According to her, the only way for Mando to redeem himself is to travel to the mines of Mandalore - which, by the way, no longer exist.
In this mission to reclaim his own dignity among the Mandalorians, Din Djarin reunites with Bo-Katan Kryze, who, as far as we know, wants the Dark Saber. The tension between them exists, and the issue of the ancestral weapon, which is a symbol of resistance against the Empire, will be an important plot in the third season.
At the Star Wars Celebration 2022 panel, creator Jon Favreau teased that The Mandalorian fans can expect "familiar faces" in the third season: Carl Weathers and Katee Sackhoff return as Greef Karga and Bo-Katan Kryze, respectively.
Will the Mandalorian end in the third season?
According to Giancarlo Esposito, during the second season launch, the answer is no. "We are living in a universe that is huge, and there is a lot to explore. So, I think this series will lay the groundwork for the depth and breadth that will come in the third and fourth season, where you will really start to get answers."
It's important to mention that there is no official confirmation from Disney, and this article will be updated as new information emerges.
